INTERVIEW: JAMES HAYES
The actor celebrates the 50th anniversary of the National Theatre, where he is currently starring as Simone in Luigi Pirandello’s Liolà, with Heather Neill. He was part of the National’s original Old Vic Company, led by Sir Laurence Olivier, and is a veteran of more National productions than anyone else alive. Recorded at the National, 4 November 2013.
I was a sentry in Dance of Death, and Sir Laurence would come off and have a word — and I was thrilled.
