West End Review: March 2009

WEST END REVIEW

Mark Shenton (Sunday Express) joins guests David Benedict (Variety), Charles Spencer (Daily Telegraph) and Matt Wolf (International Herald Tribune) to assess Priscilla, Queen of the Desert (Palace Theatre), Plague over England (Duchess Theatre), Dancing at Lughnasa (Old Vic) and Burnt by the Sun (National Theatre); plus a tribute to the late Natasha Richardson. Recorded at the National Theatre.

We are writing speaking and living in an era when critics are under threat – I don’t think it looks well that we collectively, as a group, applaud our friends’ endeavours.
