The performers, who are married, talk to Judi Herman about appearing together in The Valley of Astonishment (currently at the Young Vic), written and directed by Peter Brook and Marie-Hélène Estienne, a meditation on the human mind, exploring and celebrating the neurological condition of synaesthesia. Recorded at the Young Vic, 27 June 2014.

Because there is not a set the audience have to contribute with their imagination, construct the landscape, and in that sense Peter is almost declaring from the first moment that we are telling a story inside another story inside another story, and I think for him theatre is telling stories.
