The Indian actor talks to Suman Bhuchar about appearing in the international smash-hit extravaganza The Merchants of Bollywood (Peacock Theatre, London and touring) and his role as Bottom in Tim Supple’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream (RSC, 2006). He also discusses working in commercial theatre, opportunities for Indian actors on stage in India and the size of his bottom. Sound quality: some background noise. The USP of our show is the dance spectacle, so it presents Bollywood in its true form. Our films are still known for their song and dance, and that is the essence of the show as well.
