As his seminal piece for two performers An Oak Tree is revived at the National Theatre to mark its tenth anniversary, the playwright Tim Crouch talks Matt Trueman through the play and looks at the way it has informed his work since in plays like The Author and Adler & Gibb. I use the graphic equalizer analogy. Some frequencies are much stronger in the play now than they were back then. Some frequencies are much stronger.
