INTERVIEW: TONY LANKESTER
Tony Lankester took on the role of Chief Executive of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society in 2025, stepping into one of the most complex arts leadership roles in the world. With around 3,500 shows heading up to the city of Edinburgh each summer, against ever more difficult financial circumstances, he talks to Fergus Morgan about how to make the biggest arts festival in the world work for everyone.
