David Benedict, James Joyce expert Dr Finn Fordham, Heather Neill and Charles Spencer tear apart Michael Hastings’ new play about Lucia Joyce and Samuel Beckett, at the Duke of Yorks.

The problem is that he links all these interesting features of Lucia Joyce’s life by using a set of theatrical cliches.
