About Land of Our Fathers
On Monday 14 November the V&A’s theatreVOICE will be hosting the online premiere of Land of our Fathers, Chris Urch’s powerful début play which toured mining towns across Wales and England earlier in 2016, reaching an audience of over 6500.
Land of our Fathers is an emotive dark comedy which brings to the fore the tragic stories of the mining industry in South Wales and echoes a generation of lost voices and experiences that still resonate today.
Now TheatreVOICE has joined forces with Wales Millennium Centre and The Space to reach a global audience with this critically acclaimed new play.
The production was a collaboration between Wales Millennium Centre, Theatre503 and Tara Finney Productions and was filmed live on 19 February 2016 at the Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds. It will be available to view freely here on the theatreVOICE website on Monday 14 November from midday.
