Last few days to join Urban Scrawl!

This coming Monday, June 30th, is the deadline for submissions to the Theatrevoice/Theatre 503 Urban Scrawl competition. Just to recap, we’re looking to you out there to write a short (3-10mins) radio drama inspired by one of five stops on the Piccadilly Line: these are Arnos Grove, Hounslow East, Knightsbridge, Park Royal and Turnham Green. For the remaining stops, we’ve either got writers under commission - or the scripts have been submitted.  Judging by the scripts I’ve seen, it’s looking good, people.

While we cannot pay for those scripts we select, this is a chance to let your imagination run riot - and see the results produced to a professional standard, and made available to anyone anywhere on the planet with decent internet access.

Just to reiterate, all we are giving is the name of the stop - it’s up to you where to go with that… you can choose to conjure a world below or above ground. The full details of the competition are available at Time Out and also Theatre 503. If you can find a couple of spare hours today/tomorrow to have a go - why not try your luck? We need hard-copies of the script in an envelope marked ‘Time Out/Urban Scrawl’ sent to:
Gene David Kirk
