The young director, who won the JMK award this year, talks to Aleks Sierz about his revival of Marius Von Mayenburg’s 1997 play, Fireface, which is currently at the Clare studio, Young Vic. Recorded at the Young Vic, 12 October 2012.
Marius writes with such laser-sharp accuracy and his play moves so brilliantly between these tiny fragments of scenes that it feels as if every comma and full stop is significant and important.
